Beach Trip 2011

We spent a week in Panama City Beach. Lexie had been twice before as part of the GCSC group for GulfCoast Getaway, but this was the first time she's been when it's actually warm enough to get in the water.

"It was a long ride in the car, but we're finally here."

"I was excited to get my feet in the sand,"

"and then put them in the water."

"I'm ready for a day at the beach."

"Playing at the beach is hard work. Time for a break and some goldfish."

"Now, I've got some energy to keep playing."

Ready for the pool

"You have to take a deep breath before you put your face under."

Practicing her swimming

Taking a break from the water to catch some rays

Ready to hit the water again

We also took Lexie to her first movie while we were on vacation.

As has become our tradition, we took some sunset pictures on the beach. Here are a few.

"Look at the neat shell I found."

"The beach is so much fun..."

"I can barely contain myself!"

Picking strawberries

Continuing our summer tradition, we headed out to pick some strawberries.

"I got my bucket, and I'm ready to fill it up with yummy strawberries."

"I like eating them while Mommy looks for more."

"I'm going to find the perfect one."

Lexie's 1st Fishing Trip

Lexie enjoyed her 1st fishing trip, including catching a fish on her first cast ever.

Ready to catch some fish

A productive first cast

Waiting for the next bite

Happy Easter!

Lexie enjoyed another wonderful Easter. It was great this year to hear that she understood that Easter is all about Jesus.

"I'm going to paint this egg a pretty purple color."

"I like painting Easter eggs."

"We had a practice Easter egg hunt on Saturday at Camryn's house."

"You may think that I'm missing some eggs, but I just want the purple and pink ones."

"I'm so excited; my basket is overflowing."

Lexie's 1st trip to Zoo Atlanta

We took Lexie to Zoo Atlanta. She had a great time looking at all the animals.

Posing for a picture before we see the real animals

"I see an elephant!"

"I wish Mimi was here to see me sitting on the big lizard."

"Look Daddy! There's the elephant again."

"That bird is eating out of my hand."

"That's a great big turtle!"

Riding the merry-go-round with Mommy

Waiting for baby Reese

Lexie was excited to meet her new cousin, Reese. It took awhile for Lexie to get to meet her cousin, but she was worth the wait.

Watching a video with Camryn in the waiting room

"Why do they have the blinds closed? We want to see Reese."

"Just a few more minutes and we get to see her."

First trip to the dentist

Lexie had a great 1st trip to the dentist. No cavities!

"This chair is really comfortable, and there's a TV on the ceiling."

"Ms. Patty counted all my teeth. She was really nice."

Too cool for cavities

Birthday #3

Sorry that it took awhile to get these pictures up, but here are some highlights from Lexie's third birthday.

"Mommy decorated my door for my birthday. I even got a princess balloon."

Helping make the cupcakes

"Rain or not, I'm going to have a great birthday. We're going to Chuck E Cheese!"

"I played football..."

"and drove a racecar with Daddy..."

"and shot some baskets with Mommy..."

"and I even played ski ball all by myself."

"Now it's time for some birthday cake, and my princess tea party is tomorrow."

"First, I got a new hairdo."

"Then I got some makeup."

"Now it's time to get my nails done."

"Now I'm ready for my princess photo shoot."

"My dress needs a few accessories."

"First, we had the tea party."

"Then it was time for cupcakes and icecream."

"Finally, it was time to open all my presents."

"What is this? It's upside-down!"

"OH! It's bubbles! I love bubbles."
