Happy Easter!

Lexie seemed to really enjoy her second Easter. She had a fun-filled day. As we were last year (and will always be), we are so thankful that God gave His Little Boy for our little girl.

"The Easter Bunny knew I needed some cool shades."

"I love Easter!"

"Did I mention that I'm walking?"

Happy Birthday, Lexie!

Lexie turned one year old last week. She had her party on Saturday with aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, grandparents, and one great-grandparent (Oh yeah, Mommy and Daddy too). Everyone had a blast especially the birthday girl.

"Let me at these presents!"

"I'll play on this one for now. I can play with it once I get it open."

"Boxes and paper make great toys."

"Wow! There's even a present outside!"

The birthday princess on her throne with her cake.

The cake never had a chance.

"Hey! Who turned out the lights? This party's not over yet."

"There's still more cake to eat."

"Being the birthday girl is hard work."

Lexie's first snow

Lexie really enjoyed the snow. It didn't seem to phase her at all. She seemed quite comfortable. We played outside during the day Monday and just enjoyed the snow day. She's excited about Snow Day #2 today.

"I've never see this stuff before,

"but it's great!"

"This thing is almost as tall as me."

First Kid's Meal

Lexie enjoyed her first kid's meal tonight. She dined on mashed potatoes and applesauce at Cracker Barrel with Mommy, Daddy, Nana and Pops.

New Discoveries

There have been plenty recently. Here are a few.

The joy of bathtime

Fun with the refrigerator: outside...

and in

Alternative play with the excer-saucer

Finger food (making bathtime necessary)

A girl and her dog

Lexie and Maggie are enjoying each other. We knew that Lexie's presence would require an adjustment for Maggie, and both girls have been great. From helping get Lexie out of bed in the morning to running back and forth between Lexie and us when she's crying, Maggie has been great, and Lexie loves having someone around that's her height. Here are some pics of the two of them. These go back a few months which is neat to watch how much Lexie's grown and how Maggie's hairstyle has changed.

From day one, Maggie has known her job: watch over the little one.

Sweet friends napping together

Maggie trying to keep us from taking Lexie out of the house

Maggie has been very patient as Lexie learns the difference between petting and pulling.

Into everything

With mobility has come mischievousness. Lexie's been keeping us on our toes, and it's been great. The Trace Adkins' song "You're Gonna Miss This" helps keep things in perspective.

The blinds are one of her favorite toys.

"Hey Dad, I can help. That cord goes there, and this wire goes here."

"I'd get out there in that wet stuff that's falling from the sky if they'd let me."

Looking for good deals. She can't help it; it's in her DNA.

Getting into everything is tiring.
