Lexie's first Christmas

I simply do not have the words to describe the joy of watching Lexie experience her first Christmas. Watching our little girl enjoy the birthday of God's Little Boy was beautiful. We took almost 200 pictures. Here are a few.

She enjoyed her first trip to the Waffle House (a Christmas Eve tradition for us).

We found her standing in her crib Christmas morning. This was a first. I guess she thought Christmas morning was a good time to start this.

"This Santa-guy was worth the wait."

"I can't get in this present, so I'll just get on it."

"Hey, look there's more stuff over there."

"Have these always been here?"

"If I had known there was stuff in this stocking, I would have tried to pull it off the mantle weeks ago."

Forget the presents, go for the paper and box.

"I'm pretty tired, but people just keeping giving me presents."

"I'm starting to get the hang of this unwrapping thing,

"and it's worth the effort."

"I've looked everywhere, but can't find any more presents."

That's ok because she's the best present there is.

Hurry Christmas, hurry fast

We are so looking forward to celebrating Christmas with Lexie. She may not know exactly what's going on, but she seems to be anticipating her first Christmas almost as much as we are.

"All I want for Christmas is all of my teeth."

Lexie seems to be getting tired of waiting.

Fortunately, she got a little early practice at unwrapping presents.

"Is this Santa guy coming soon or what?"

Happy Halloween!

Lexie's first Halloween was great!

She's our little pumpkin, and we had fun watching her interact with a big pumpkin.

"Hey, I bet I could fit in there."

"See, I told you I could."

"What's with all this stringy stuff?"

"Well, let's taste it and find out."

This little Peep seems to have lost some pep,

but a bucket of candy gives her a second wind.

"This Halloween thing is great. I bet it's even more fun when you have teeth."

At the pumpkin patch

Lexie really enjoyed her first trip to the pumpkin patch. Here are some of her thoughts on the experience.

Look at all the pumpkins!

How do you tell if it's a good one?

This might be the one!

I got the grand prize winner right here.

I got my pumpkin, so I'm ready to roll whenever you are.

This wind is really messing with my hair.

Forget the pumpkins; this leaf is so cool.

The Life of a Six Month Old

Since her half-birthday Lexie has added some skills to her repertoire and made some great discoveries.

She is sitting up.

For an added degree of difficulty, she now sticks out her tongue while sitting up.

She loves carrots and actually did get some in her mouth.

She's discovered that toes make great appetizers.

She's learned that the basket that holds her toys can be a toy itself.

She's realized that Peek-a-boo is just more fun with a collander.

With the world changing so much for her each day, she's learned to keep an eye on things.

Go Dawgs!

Lexie enjoyed her first Bulldawg weekend.

She'd been preparing for weeks.
Check out these cute dresses worn to Bulldawg Sundays at church.

On Saturday, she put on her game face.

She hunkered down with her version of Uga.

She was a bit concerned at 12:31 when the Pay-Per-View had yet to start,

but she was jumping for joy as the Bulldawgs got their first win.

All jumped out

Lexie's summer

Since returning from Destin, Lexie has had a great summer.

She enjoyed her first trip to the pool.

She discovered her Exersaucer,

and loves it!

She's taken the opportunity to relax a bit.

We have thoroughly enjoyed watching her experience her first summer.
