Lexie loves books

Lexie really enjoys reading. Donnie has Blue Hat, Green Hat and Doggies practically memorized. Not to mention the Brown Bear/Panda Bear/Polar Bear What do you See/Hear series. Here Lexie enjoys some time with one of her favorites: Bible Stories.

In her right hand she's holding the Baby Jesus (all 8 lbs 6 oz of Him) from her Little People Nativity set.

"Which story should I read today?"

"I love my Bible."

Shoes, shoes, shoes

Lexie has recently taken to trying on shoes...mostly ones that aren't hers.

"You caught me!"

"Well? What do you think?"

Ready for a jog

Not so sure about this look

Thanksgiving 2009

This Thanksgiving was the first where Lexie could enjoy the traditional food. She loved it.

Mommy's little helper

Daddy's little eater

Halloween 2009

Lexie was a cupcake this year. Now that she has a mouth full of teeth, she enjoyed the candy that comes with wearing the costume.

So sweet.

"What? We brought this candy from home. I'm just testing it before we give it to folks."

"Thanks for offering me that toy, but I'll take this Snickers."

"Yes, I am aware it is raining, but there's still candy out there."

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We returned to Burt's Pumpkin Patch this year, and it was a completely different experience. Last year, we carried Lexie around the patch; this year we chased her.

"WOW! Look at all the pumpkins!"

"I'm going to find the perfect one for us to take home."

"This is so much fun."

"This tractor is pretty cool, but...

"I'm determined to find the perfect pumpkin."

"I'm getting closer I can feel it."

"And here it is: my favorite pumpkin."

"Don't feel lonely, pumpkin. I found a little friend for you."

"Finding the right pumpkin is hard work. I deserve a cool treat."

The Next Great Chef?

"There's no food on this table. Let's see if I can fix that."

"There's plenty of food in here."

"Now to find the right pot."

" I enjoy snacks like goldfish...

"and a mouthful of banana."

"But nothing hits the spot like ketchup with a little hamburger...

"Or pasta sauce and a little pasta."

Ready for Another Season

Lexie hasn't seen much Bulldawg football this year with most games starting after she's asleep, but that hasn't dampened her Bulldawg spirit.

" Goooooo Dawgs!"

"Is he wearing jean shorts? He must be a gator fan."

More Summer Fun

Lexie enjoyed this summer. Whether swimming at the pool, playing at a friend's house, or just hanging out at home, she had plenty of fun.

"Cheese"

"This water is great!"

"How cool am I? What's the limit?"

Picking Blueberries

We visited the blueberry farm last week. As you can see, Lexie had a blast.

"Y'all get the high ones. I'll handle the ones closer to the ground."

"Uh-oh, that one is on the ground."

"Hey, Mommy's got a whole bucket of blueberries."

"And I know just what to do with them."

"Ain't I a stinker?"

Fun at the beach!

Lexie has thoroughly enjoyed her trip to Cape San Blas, Florida. Here are just a few of the many, many pictures that we took.
"This shell is so neat."
"I like playing in this water, but it tastes funny."
"Just out for my morning jog"

"I wonder what made this hole."

"I'm all set. I've got my chair, my umbrella and my goldfish."

"I have to be friendly and wave to all these people that tell me I'm cute."

"I even like taking a shower after playing on the beach."

"The pool is a nice break from the beach."

"So many pictures..."

Can you blame us? Look how cute she is.

Here a some of our favorites from our Friday evening photo session.

Sadly, the vacation had to come to an end.

Isn't this how we all feel when the vacation is over?
