Lexie's first J-E-T-S event

The NFL draft began today, and just like her Daddy, Lexie was pumped up about it.

She already knows that the JETS are #1!

Even though the draft is more "stream-lined" this year, Lexie decided that sleep was more important than seeing who the JETS drafted. Check out those socks and that paci!

The newest Champion

Today was Lexie's first day at Champions for Children. Beth reports that she had a great day. We are definitely blessed to have Lexie being cared for by such amazing people every day.

Here's Lexie ready to head out this morning.

Here she is taking it easy in her crib, watched over by grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Lexie is 1 month old!

It seems amazing that it's been an entire month since we welcomed Lexie into the world. It seems like just yesterday that we were seeing her for the first time. Watching her grow and develop has been an amazing experience. We thank God that she is safe and healthy. God is good!

Happy Easter!

Lexie really enjoyed her first Easter.

Here's her first Easter basket.

After a full day of looking so cute, Lexie was just plain tuckered out.

Of course, we did make time for a family portrait. Beth and I were talking this morning about how our perspective on this time of year has changed with the arrival of Lexie. We are eternally grateful that God gave His Little Boy for our little girl... and the rest of mankind. God is good!

Lexie is 2 weeks old!

Today Lexie turned two weeks old. The last 14 days have proven to be an amazing blessing from God. It's absolutely amazing how much we love this little girl that we just met a few days ago.

Lexie went to the doctor's office for a weigh-in this afternoon. Dr. Aldridge wanted her to be back at her original birthweight of 8 lbs 2 oz. Already the little overachiever, Lexie weighed in at 8 lbs 4.5 oz. Just like her daddy, Lexie enjoys eating... and napping.

Lexie is looking forward to watching the Dawgs play in the NCAA men's basketball tournament tomorrow. Although she slept through virtually the entire SEC tourney, Donnie just couldn't resist capturing the Dawgs winning the first SEC tourney of Lexie's life.

Lexie's homelife

Lexie is enjoying getting accustomed to her new surroundings. Over the last day or two, she has been looking at her new home with wide-open eyes.

She even went on her first stroll around the block this afternoon.

For the most part though, Lexie has been taking after her Daddy by just relaxing at home.

Welcome home Lexie!

Friday, Lexie arrived at her new home. She is adjusting to life at her house, and Beth and I (as well as Maggie) are adjusting to life with her. To call her a tremendous blessing from God would be the understatement of the century.
We look forward to visiting with our friends and family, but just ask that you call ahead to make sure the time that you are thinking about visiting is a good time for us. We don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but we need everyone to understand that it won't always be the best time for a visit.
Thank you for all the help that has been given to us in the last few days. We appreciate the love that all of our friends and family have shown us and our little girl, but then again how could you not love sweet Lexie, especially when she's swaddled and looks like a little burrito. God is good!
